At that time Archbishop Dowling wrote the following to architect Charles D. Maginnis regarding the installation of the Connick windows in Nazareth Hall: "All the windows are in the chapel. They are fine. In these gray days they are not fully functioning. Till the Western sun is almost level they are decidedly blue but when the reds are on fire the blue is strangely subordinated and they throw light against the opposite windows. I am very much in love with them." MARK D. BADEN, PhD is Dean of Faculty at Northwestern College, St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr Baden recieved his B.A.from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN and his M.A. and Ph.D from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. In 1997 Dr. Baden was awarded Higher Education Art Educator of the Year by Art Educators of Minnesota and in 1998 Excellence in Teaching Award from Northwestern College. |
